WHY BLOG?
Why is it a thing that everyone is doing?
Why do I need to do it?
Do I really have something scholarly to say or share?

Do I really have something scholarly to say or share?
All of these questions are still swimming around as I write my first blog to talk myself and others into the benefits of blogging. I'm not a writer or a deep thinker, but I'm going to try this out and see who I can inspire! So, keep reading and I will apologize ahead of time for my lack of writing skills. I loved Mrs. Herman, my senior English teacher, but writing was never my "thing"-TECHNOLOGY IS!
Welcome to my TECHNOLOGY for Teachers Blog!
I hope throughout time teachers realize that this world is changing faster than ever. Our children are keeping up better than any of us ever dreamed of. With that said, it is vital that teachers realize that they are teaching our future, which we can not even begin to predict what that looks like. Teachers must strive to be life-long learners.
As life-long learners, teachers will acquire the 21st century skills it takes to reach our students of today and of the future.

My goal for blogging is to encourage teachers to shift their pedagogy and step out of their comfort zone. Breaking out of our comfort zones, is a hard task for several of us, but our students NEED us to.
Try something new, use a new app or web tool, read a blog, go to a conference, collaborate with other teachers, or even ask your students what they would like to try.

Once or twice a month my blog will offer ways to breakout of that comfort zone and join the world of technology integration in the classroom. You will not be disappointed and neither will your students.
